Important Changes to PDAP Portal Coming November 6, 2026
As part of CPBC’s transition to align with requirements under the Health Professions and Occupations Act (HPOA), changes to the Professional Development and Assessment Program (PDAP) will take effect November 6, 2026. These changes include updated terminology, an updated PDAP Portal, and changes to how the program is supported by CPBC.
WHAT'S CHANGING
- Continuing Education (CE) will become Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Oversight of professional development will move from the Quality Assurance department to the Licensing department. This means support for your professional development requirements and records will come through Licensing.
- The Professional Development and Assessment Program (PDAP) name will remain the same.

Please note: Your Continuing Professional Development requirements are not changing, and you must complete your CPD learning records to renew your licence, as applicable.
New PDAP Portal Launches November 9, 2026
The PDAP Portal will move to an updated platform on November 9. To support the transition, the current PDAP Portal will close on November 6. Access will resume when the updated portal launches.
The updated portal will have a refreshed look and feel, along with changes to how you enter learning activities. We’ll provide step-by-step guidance to support you through the transition.
When you first use the updated portal, we recommend giving yourself extra time to complete your learning records as you adjust to the new system.
If you prefer to use the current PDAP portal, you can enter your 2026 learning activities no later than November 5.
Please note: You must keep supporting documentation for your learning activities for two years from the expiry date of your current license, regardless of whether you uploaded the documentation to the PDAP Portal.
If you have questions about these changes or need support with the current PDAP portal, email [email protected].
