Professional Licence Reinstatement

Professional Licence Reinstatement

If your professional licence with the College of Pharmacists of BC (CPBC) has lapsed and you would like to reinstate as a Full Pharmacist or Full Pharmacy Technician, you must complete the reinstatement process before resuming pharmacy practice in B.C.

Determining your Reinstatement Path

Your reinstatement path is based on the time elapsed since you were last licensed as a Full Pharmacist or Full Pharmacy Technician. Refer to your applicable pathway below for details:

  • Within 90 Days: Licence expired within the past 90 days

  • Less than 6 Years: Licence expired for more than 90 days but less than 6 years ago

  • 6 Years or More: Licence expired 6 or more years ago

  • Pharmacist from Canada (CFTA): You are currently licensed as a practising pharmacist in another Canadian province or territory in good standing. The Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) allows your credentials as a Canadian pharmacist to be recognized for licensing in BC, therefore additional assessments or continuing education (CE) submissions are not required.
