To support pharmacies in preparing for the transition to CIRCL, we’ve developed a Quick-Start Checklist to help put the CIRCL requirements into practice.

The checklist is intended to be an easy-to-use reference that pharmacies can view online or print and keep on hand while working through the transition to CIRCL. It walks pharmacies through the key steps required, including confirming that incident reporting platforms meet CIRCL requirements, establishing policies and procedures, training staff, holding regular team meetings, and completing safety self-assessments.

Whether pharmacies are building new processes or checking that existing ones are compliant with CIRCL standards, this guide is designed to support planning and implementation of the requirements ahead of the June 1, 2026 in-force date.
