New Pharmacy Graduate from Canada
Note that if you have graduated more than 3 years ago and not registered as a pharmacists in Canada or the US, you must complete the Structured Practical Training (SPT) requirement in accordance with Registration Committee Policy-6.
Quebec Graduates: The English Language Proficiency (ELP) is a requirement if you graduated from a Quebec Pharmacy Programme. Refer to Registration Committee Policy-1 for details and contact the College's registration department if you have any questions.
Note: Step 2 and 3 can be completed in any order.
- Pre-Register with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia
You may apply for pre-registration in the final year of your pharmacy program or after you have graduated.
Please allow at least 30 business days for processing.

Note: the application processing time is due to the completion of the criminal record check (CRC) process. If adjudication or fingerprinting is required for the CRC, then the processing time will be further extended.
A notarized affidavit is required if your name is not the same on all identification submitted or you cannot provide the supporting documents for the name differences. See Related Resources below for a sample.
- Successfully complete the Jurisprudence Examination (JE)
Results are valid for 3 years from the exam date.
- Successfully complete the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (PEBC) Qualifying Exam – Part I (MCQ) and Part II (OSCE)

- Apply to be a Full Pharmacist
If paying by credit card, please allow 5 business days for processing. However, if paying by cheque please allow 10 – 12 business days for processing.
Professional Liability Insurance - all 3 criteria listed in the professional liability insurance section are required for registration.

You're now registered as a Full Pharmacist. The College will send you a confirmation notice and issue a certificate of registration. You may access your registration card through eServices. Registration must be renewed annually. You will receive an email reminder six weeks before your renewal deadline.
