Student Pharmacist (UBC)
All students that are enrolled in the PharmD (entry-to-practice) pharmacy degree program at the University of British Columbia (UBC) are required to license as Student Pharmacists with the College of Pharmacists of BC (CPBC) prior to the start of their first year. This licence allows students to complete their Structured Practical Training, and provide pharmacy services under the supervision of a Full Pharmacist while enrolled in the pharmacy program.

If you are a licensed, practicing pharmacy technician in good standing from another Canadian province/territory, you can become licensed with CPBC through the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA).
The CFTA allows your current qualifications as a pharmacy technician licensed in a Canadian jurisdiction to be recognized, and therefore you are not required to complete any additional assessments.
