Limited Pharmacist Registration
Limited pharmacist registration is a registration class which allows for individuals who are not yet eligible for full registration to provide pharmacy services under the supervision of a full pharmacist. They may only use the title “pharmacist (limited)” and must not use any abbreviations.

On March 16, 2020, the Provincial Health Officer requested all health regulators to begin emergency registration due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, eligible individuals may apply for temporary registration with the College to provide pharmacy services during this health emergency.
There are four classes under this type of registration:

To practice as a pharmacy technician in British Columbia, you must be registered as a Pharmacy Technician by completing the College’s application process. Your first step is to pre-register with the College through the applicable category. Once you have met all the requirements, you can then apply for Pharmacist Technician Registration.

To practice as a pharmacist in British Columbia, you must be registered as a Full Pharmacist by completing the College’s application process. Your first step is to pre-register with the College through the applicable category. Once you have met all the requirements, you can then apply for Full Pharmacist Registration.
Jurisprudence Examination
Jurisprudence Examination Information
The Jurisprudence Exam (JE) is based on legislation contained in federal and provincial acts, their regulations, bylaws and published College Professional Practice Policies that pertain to pharmacy operations and registrant (pharmacist or pharmacy technician) responsibilities in the practice of pharmacy. Successful completion of the JE is required to register as a pharmacist or pharmacy technician in British Columbia.
