Board Elections: Candidates Confirmed - Polls Open September 27, 2024
The College is pleased to announce the candidates for the upcoming College of Pharmacists of BC Board elections. Candidates are listed alphabetically by last name within each district.

The College did not receive any nomination for District 7 – Community Hospitals. As per section 6(9) of the Health Professions Act Bylaws, if there are no nominees for a vacant position, the Board may fill the vacant position by appointment in accordance with section 10 of those Bylaws. |
As a result of the nominations received, elections will be held in Districts 2, 4, and 6.
Due to the anticipated transition to the Health Professions and Occupations Act (HPOA) in 2025, all those elected, acclaimed or appointed in 2024 may have their terms of office shortened when the HPOA comes into force. The date that the HPOA will come into force has not yet been established by the provincial government. |
The College has retained BigPulse, an independent online election provider, to conduct the elections. Elections are conducted by electronic ballot only. All full pharmacists in good standing (as defined in HPA Bylaws) and assigned to District 2, 4, or 6 are eligible to vote.
Polls Open |
Each eligible pharmacist is entitled to one ballot and may vote for one candidate in their respective district. Completed electronic ballots must be submitted by 5:00 PM (PDT) on Friday, October 30, 2024.
Electronic Voting Instructions will be distributed to eligible pharmacists in Districts 2, 4, and 6 on Friday, September 27, 2024, when polls open. |
Note: If you were not assigned to District 2, 4, or 6 by 5:00 PM (PDT) on Friday, September 13, 2024, you are not eligible to vote in the 2024 Board Elections. |
