CRCs are legislated under the BC Criminal Records Review Act (CRRA) and is a mandatory requirement of the BC Ministry of Justice for any registered pharmacist or pharmacy technician. The UBC Pharmacists Clinic is helping chronic headache sufferers with their long wait times to see a specialist at the UBC Headache Clinic.
Before seeing a specialist, patients now go through an hour-long screening with a pharmacist at the clinic. This consultation helps to establish a common understanding of the patient’s condition and their medication history. It also helps to identify some of the root causes of a patient’s headaches.
By the time patients do arrive at the headache clinic, they can focus on the deeper issues.
