March marks Pharmacist Awareness Month! This year the Canadian Pharmacists Association celebrates March with the theme of Doing more. For you.

The CPhA website has great resources for pharmacists and patients, including a printable visual checklist for patients and videos.

On September 15, 2015, the College launched DrugSafeBC, the public awareness campaign to inform British Columbians about new security measures designed to deter pharmacy robberies. 

Pharmacy professionals do great work each and every day, but it is important to help educate other health professionals and the public during Pharmacist Awareness Month. Many organizations participated in a big way to champion the work of pharmacy professionals.

The Ontario Pharmacy Association created a new website for Pharmacy Awareness Month: www.pharmacistsoffermore.ca.

Pharmacists are one of the most honest and ethical professionals, according to the American public.

The annual Gallup Poll, which has been conducted annual since 1990, ranks multiple professions based on integrity and ethics. The 2014 results placed pharmacists in second place – tied with physicians behind nurses.

Pharmacists improved by one ranking spot this year, as they were previously 3rd in the 2013 poll.
