THE COLLEGE IS CURRENTLY SEEKING EXPERIENCED CHARTERED PROFESSIONAL ACCOUNTANTS TO VOLUNTEER TO SERVE ON THE AUDIT AND FINANCE COMMITTEE.

Note: At this time, the College is only seeking to fill a vacancy on the Audit and Finance Committee, a call for volunteers for the remainder of College committees will be issued in early 2024.

Who We Are

Founded in 1891, the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia is located on the traditional, ancestral and unceded lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓ əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh). The College is a BC health regulatory body and is a vital link in the chain of trust between patients, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians; Its job is to protect the health and safety of the public by licensing and regulating pharmacists and pharmacy technicians and the pharmacies where they practice. The College is responsible for making sure every pharmacist and pharmacy technician in BC is fully qualified and able to provide the public with safe and ethical pharmacy care.

About the Audit and Finance Committee

The purpose of the Audit and Finance Committee is to assist the Board in fulfilling its oversight responsibilities relating to financial planning, annual audit process, financial reporting, the system of financial controls and risk management, and make recommendations to the full Board for approval.

As such, the College is looking for up to 2 Chartered Professional Accountants, currently in good standing with their applicable regulatory bodies, to join the Audit and Finance Committee to serve as paid volunteers. A minimum 10-years experience in financial management, including: budgeting, risk management, financial analysis, financial statement analysis, experience with not-for-profit boards, and regulatory bodies would be considered an asset.

Please note that the Committee Member Volunteer Application Form asks that you select all College committees that you may be interested in serving on, however we are currently only calling for volunteers for the Audit and Finance Committee. Interest in other committees will not be considered at this time, however, the call for volunteers for the remainder of the College committees will be sent out in early 2024.
