Student Pharmacists (UBC)
Student Pharmacist (UBC)
All students that are enrolled in the PharmD (entry-to-practice) pharmacy degree program at the University of British Columbia (UBC) are required to license as Student Pharmacists with the College of Pharmacists of BC (CPBC) prior to the start of their first year. This licence allows students to complete their Structured Practical Training, and provide pharmacy services under the supervision of a Full Pharmacist while enrolled in the pharmacy program.
Pharmacy students must maintain their licence throughout the duration of their pharmacy program by completing their online renewal prior to the start of each school year. After graduation*, they may apply for a Full Pharmacist licence once all licensing requirements have been met.
*Students must complete their Full Pharmacist Licence by January 31st (for May graduates) or August 31st (for November graduates) of the following year after graduation, in accordance with Licence Committee Policy-9. If they do not meet this deadline, they will be required to apply under the New Pharmacy Graduate from Canada category before becoming eligible for a Full Pharmacist licence.
