Who determines which post-secondary programs are accredited?

The Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs (CCAPP), the same organization that accredits pharmacists’ university programs, is responsible for accrediting ‘regulated pharmacy technician’ programs in Canada. The accreditation process ensures that accredited programs contain the necessary content to teach the competencies (knowledge, skills and abilities) necessary for successful graduates to safely and effectively perform the job of a regulated pharmacy technician.
