Other Registration Types
Registration types other than full pharmacist and student pharmacist.
- Non-practising Pharmacist
A pharmacist who is not practising in direct patient care but are required to retain pharmacist registration with the College.
To reinstate to Full registration, depending on the length of time you were off the Full register, you will be required to apply for reinstatement and meet all requirements prior to College reinstating your registration.

- Temporary Pharmacist
If an emergency has been declared by the registrar, a pharmacist registered in another jurisdiction in Canada or the USA may be granted temporary registration in BC.
Temporary Registration is only valid for 90 days and can only be renewed once.
- Limited Pharmacist
A pharmacist who has not completed all the requirements for registration, approved by the registration committee, may provide pharmacy services under the supervision of a full pharmacist.
Limited Pharmacist registration may be renewed twice and must not exceed 3 years from your initial registration.
